he couldn't get it out so he tarped it and was going to pull it out at a later date. they have a old old old i think 40 or 50 d4 dozer on property that also ran when the father got it stuck like 15 years ago or so. I dropped them off a roll of container for scrap metal and they showed me around the property cause they werent sure what could go into it and what couldnt and what needed seperated. i would love to have it i like it but just not something i can justify buying right now. How much would you say its worth as it sits? just odd you can tell it drove to where it sits so i am wondering if the guy was starting to have trouble with it when he parked it and just from sitting whatever it was just said screw it im done lol. if anyone has any idea's i am open to them and the couple is wondering what it might have in value as they must sell it as it was part of a estate. been told by a friend some of these older dozers had a secondary one? also what is the little lever coming out of the floor on the left? and whats the center plug in front of the shifter? I do not know what model this dozer is exaltey as the only id plate i saw was up by the controls and its warn smooth so does anyone got a idea? Also was told it could be a reverser but someone else told me that if the pto would spin then it couldn't be that. we checked the fluid on the dipstick for fluid and its full. all of a sudden it wont lift the machine but turns and can still tilt. Almost like clutchs arnt stuck or not engaging at all? ALso on another note the blade was working normally could lift the front of the machine. But if we put it dam near full throttle and put the shifter in between your legs in gear and try moving the one on dash the tracks jerk every so slightly but beyond that it wont move. moved the shifter between your legs to all different settings and tried moving the 1 on the dash does nothing. Where it is sat you can tell it was backed in by driving there so not sure if we are doing something wrong or something has gone bad from sitting. We have tried putting it in gear to move but nothing.
